It's in Canada as well. I received my letter yesterday. I'm still waiting for the second attempt at fixing my driver seat trim so I'll do it when it goes in for that.

AFAICT, my car is in Jacksonville somewhere in the hold of the Bangkok, two days up the coast and it will be in port. One wonders if the car, built late Oct, is effected by the recall and if so will be handled in port or at the dealer. And either way how to figure out that its been dealt with prior to delivery.

Indeed. Mine was held up an extra week in US receipt port for same.
btw: I had to alert my dealership to the subject recall, but in fairness had not yet received the postal mailing.

I got my notice in the mail yesterday.
So, exactly what does this fix? I don't make a habit of looking at the side markers.
Doveboat mentioned a tranny update- I never heard about that either.

Frankly I feel the marker light thing is DOT much ado about nothing. But at least easily modified via a software update.
The tranny update is also software.
Side Marker Light recall 97CB
TCM software update 37K1
