It's in Canada as well. I received my letter yesterday. I'm still waiting for the second attempt at fixing my driver seat trim so I'll do it when it goes in for that.

Me, too. Though I can't understand why the dealer didn't pick up on this when I had the car in for service.

AFAICT, my car is in Jacksonville somewhere in the hold of the Bangkok, two days up the coast and it will be in port. One wonders if the car, built late Oct, is effected by the recall and if so will be handled in port or at the dealer. And either way how to figure out that its been dealt with prior to delivery.

This recall has been in effect for several Audi models for a couple of months now. If your car was recently built odds are the software involved was correctly installed at the factory. If for some reason it wasn't, it will be handled at the port. Cars can not be released from port until all port installed accessories are installed and any open recalls are addressed. Only bad thing is, if the recall has to be done at the port - it can delay releasing the car to the final shipper

Indeed. Mine was held up an extra week in US receipt port for same.

btw: I had to alert my dealership to the subject recall, but in fairness had not yet received the postal mailing.

Danke.

To be honest, at this point I'd be happy if it took an extra week... still waiting for Audi to confirm my TDI buyback. Not taking delivery any way until that's confirmed.

I got my notice in the mail yesterday.

So, exactly what does this fix? I don't make a habit of looking at the side markers.
Doveboat mentioned a tranny update- I never heard about that either.

Frankly I feel the marker light thing is DOT much ado about nothing. But at least easily modified via a software update.

The tranny update is also software.

You can wait while this job is being performed. Took a bit over an hour & the dealer had bagels and coffee in their waiting lounge.
