I am getting ready to purchase an 05 or 06 A6. The 06 has nav with voice activation, while the 05 has MMI Hi, no nav and no voice activation.

I have been told on other forums that the 05's were all shipped with the SDS module installed, just not "turned on".

I have done a forum search looking for more info on this but have come up empty.

Could someone on the board confirm that all 05's shipped with the SDS moduel and all I need to do to activate voice control of the MMI and bluetooth is "turn it on" via a VAG-COM. A local import shop is willing to help, if I can tell them what they need to do.
