Default Did some searching and looks like

parallels is flaky but fusion seems to work... installing that now.

Default Keep in mind that any sort of virtualized environment is unsupported:

Default Apple already made that unnecessary:

Default Right, and I tried installing it and it sucks...

Couldnt even partition my HD... Do people really want to waste 10 gigs of space on their laptops to get Vag running? I do... But I can't imagine that is a perect permanant solution for you guys

Anyways... Im testing it with VMWare Fusion tonight.

Default FUSION VMWARE WORKS!!!! I HIGHLY SUGGEST IT

I would suggest this to your customers as a much better solution then boot camp. You run fusion in a seperate window and it loads up Windows like Virtual PC and parallels.

NO ISSUES using beta 711. Much nicer and smoother then bootcamp!

Default Andy please include me in the test. I've bought fusion and been testing it. It's really is nice

and have not run into problems. My only issue is that the cable I have is a serial (DB9) connector. I have the HEX-COM Intelligent Dual-K VAG/ISO Interface Rev. B. Not too sure what to do about this either bet the USB cable version from you guys or by a converter but cost is an issue. Is there a way I can trade my cable for the USB version or do you guys have a converter?
I would also recommend what FinallyS5 has been talking about, start supporting Fusion, I think this would build revenue toward your company in the long run. Many people have been moving over to OS X and running FUSION to support their Windows software.

Default Andy- would you mind emailing me the tests as well (or including me on the results)?

While I have Parallels (Build 5584 from Jan 18, 2008), I wouldn't hesitate to switch to VMWare if it'll save a reboot.

Interface: I have a HEX-CAN + USB
Ross-Tech: v704
Cars: B7 A4, Q7

thanks
