B7 A4 light-bulb checking disable - can it be done?
Just installed a pair of white leds for the rear number plate. Of course, the leds consume less than 0.5W than the 5W each incandescent bulb consumes, so the electronics module thinks it's shorted to open, displaying that annoying lamp on my DIS even though the leds work fine (and look better). Any way to disable the light-bulb checking feature with VAG-COM through adaptation channels on module 9?

Re: Just add some high wattage resistors to equalize the load
Already tried that, 30ohms (i experimented with it and above that the error still appears) 5Watt resistors (the max size that will fit the bulb housing) but these run excessively hot! (more than the bulb itself i would say). So i ruled this possibility out.
Any other ideas?

Re: Try a higher wattage resistor - 10W
Already thought of that, but 10-watt resistors won't fit inside the bulb cover! Anyway, i dropped this project and won't experiment again until a way to disable the bulb checking disabled in the electronics module.
