Default Changed region on US cluster to CND... date time problem?

<center><img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/2nqyv82.jpg"></center><p>Well I decided to change the cluster from US to Canadian spec using VAG-COM last night and noticed that everything works perfectly except the time/date is all screwed up now....

I then decided to try the German setting (00) and it did the same, went back to the US setting and the time/date went back to normal. Bakc to German/Canadian it screws up again.

I then attemped to adjust the date/time, and noticed that it seems to be 'calling' up the wrong pixels on the display. Not sure why, wondering if I missed something in the coding?? And help would be great.

Here are some pics I took in differnt modes (changing time/date, date on/off, etc)....

Dunno how to post pics in the thread properly (normal IMG tags don't work??) so here are the links to a few other views.

Does anyone have information about this? I have the same problem and have been searching for a solution for over a year now. My time and date are garbled and corrupt as in the above photos. I had come across a repair service that offered to upload new firmware, but I can't seem to find them now. I would like to attempt it myself now.

I have been looking into the software that can re-program the EEPROM chip of the cluster display, but would need to know more about what part of the programming is corrupt? I suppose there are bin files that can be pulled and modified, then re-loaded. I already have another cluster from a Canadian car, so I was hoping that the time and date sections of its programming would be correct for the Canadian country code.

My car is also a US import and has been switched to the Canadian code.
