Default possible secondary air injection problem

I posted a few weeks on the B5 forum ago regarding this and search the archives. I noted a problem that, what I assume to be, the secondary air pump running after engine/car is off. This in turn drains the battery. Well I was able to VAG-com the car this weekend and this is what it gave me. Also I took the car for emissions in IL and they were not able to connect the OBD-II for some reason.

Chassis Type: 8D - Audi A4 B5
Component: 1.8L R4/5VT G 0006

5 Faults Found:
18014 - Rough Road/Engine Torque Signal from ABS: Electrical Malfunction
P1606 - 35-00 - -
17522 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S2: Internal Resistance too High
P1114 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17521 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor; B1 S1: Internal Resistance too High
P1113 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
16795 - Secondary Air Injection System: Incorrect Flow Detected
P0411 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
Readiness: 0000 0000

Any ideas?

Thanx

Default yes, it looks like you do have a secondary air issue...

as well as O2 issues.

However, are you sure the pump is running after the car is off? Can you hear it? It's pretty distinctive

Default ha, yeah! Oh yeah I can hear it. Even hear it when the car is on.

Sounds like a duster buster/vaccuum cleaner or small, like micro small jet engine. So its the pump itself that is bad?!

Also, last I took the car to IL-emmisions, they could not connect the OBD-II.

Default nope, doesn't mean the pump is bad at all. In fact....

the pump is doing it's thing like a champ. However, the downside here is that it should only run for about a minute or two on cold starts.

Soooooooooooo......my guess is that you have one of two issues.
1) secondary air pump relay is hanging closed (in the box with your Motronic unit)
2) wiring short

I'd start by checking the relay
