Question: Need help why Ext Temp is not displaying
Members of the Brain Trust:
Im puzzled and stumped - I have a 2003 Audi allroad and up until a short while ago I always had the Ext Temperature displayed on the FIs /DIS
This stopped about 5 days ago and I cant tell why. No errors on VAGCOM relating to this (yes I know about the little button to toggle the DIS)
I have the Infotaimnent bus on Ch63 in Instruments set to 7 as per the suggestion of this forum (was 23 I think) the Comfort Bus is coded for Parktronic + Instruments + Allroad
No idea - when I look at the HVAC and go to block (11 I think) - it shows a temperature reading where the Bentley says it should.
So what Im wondering is - is the temp sensor working? Is the temp field in the HVAC an interpolated one (I know it also has an interior temp sensor)
Very strange - wouldnt there be an error code if the sensor was not working
Popped the hood and checked - its there and plugged in.
Scan Posted ( I cleared all the aforementioned codes and they have not come back - my mechanic was working on the steering wheel)

Problem Solved
Go to Instruments (17)
Adaptation Channel 19
Car has to be coded XXX1X (mine was XXX0X) for the temperature to display.
This one was nowhere to be found! Not even in the VAGCOM software.
Had to go find it on OpenOdb for the A4
