S5 facelift tail light coding NAR to RoW
I just picked up my 2013 S5. I'm stationed in Germany and purchased the Euro facelift taillights from my local Audi dealer. The yellow blinkers help me blend in and I think are much safer.
I have them installed and the lights operate, however they operate the same as the US spec lights and need a simple coding change to function properly just like the taillights on my A3. No problem as I was going to hook the car up to the VCDS and make changes anyway.
Unfortunately, I cannot find a setting in the software that changes the lights from functioning in the North American region (NAR) to the Rest of World (RoW) setting.
When I changed the lights in my A3, Ross-Tech made it easy as there was a drop down in one of the bytes to make this change. Not so for the S5. I'm quite confident that one of the bytes changes the setting I need, but I have no idea which one as there are several with no known coding.
When my laptop recharges I will hook it up to my A3 and get the byte position and hex code from that and try it on the S5. It's a shot in the dark, but worth a try.
If anyone knows the proper coding it would be greatly appreciated.
