Seeking advice on what to log/graph; checking MAF
I am slowly figuring this VCDS out. I hoped someone would guide me to which units to record as I drive (e.g., 002 = g/s air for checking MAF) - I'm sure there are two other important measurements I could record pertaining to this situation. VCDS Only allows three recorded data blocks (whatever they're called), right? I found the full-throttle run to 5000 RPM method of checking MAF in the wiki or forum...
I replaced the MAF with one from Bosch but a week later got the following five DTCs and the car nearly stalled; since then I have had the following recurring codes:
17538 - Fuel Trim; Bank 2 (Mult) P1130 - 001 - System too Lean - Intermittent - MIL ON 17536 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult) P1128 - 001 - System too Lean - Intermittent - MIL ON
and occasionally this one and the engine runs roughly
16487 - Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) P0103 - 008 - Signal too High
Only saw these two when the car stalled.
18663 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1 P2231 - 004 - Signal Shorted to Heater Circuit - Intermittent
18666 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S1 P2234 - 004 - Signal Shorted to Heater Circuit - Intermittent
I deoxited the MAF connector but haven't done much else. Except hours of research.
and most recently noticed the transmission error code which keeps popping up at different RPMs and sometimes points to the connector (I have found in other forums).
