Default Is there a way to disable a sensor from reporting? Keep getting brake bulb alerts.

I was getting intermittent 3rd brake light bulb warnings. It looks like the prior owner of my '09 Audi A4 got the rear window tinted. The installer removed the 3rd brake light and kinked the wiring. Upon inspection the wire had a little insulation gone and a couple strands of copper broken. The break was too close to the ceiling to repair. The cut I would have to make won't allow me enough room to splice in a new wire. So I just tucked the broken strands back in and electrical taped the wire. I am now still getting the intermittent warnings. Is there a way to disable that module from reporting that error? Its on module # 46 and error 01503.
