what the hell is your problem buddy? I said in my post that i figured it was probably a faulty interface, and acknowledged i was using an aftermarket interface (because i wanted to save some bucks). the hardware I bought IS designed for my car by obdtool.com, and is designed to be used with the VAG software from ross-tech. It STOPPED working after I've been using it for quite a while, and so I posted a question on the VAG-COM forum (gee, makes sense don't it?) to see if someone might be able to offer a solution as to WHY. Moral of the story, a$$hole, if you have such a big problem with such a little question, keep it to yourself or get a new hobby

I know very little about this stuff, all I know is I got the tool from Obdtool.com beacuse it was cheaper (I use this for diagnosis ONLY and RARELY), it worked at first, I hadn't used it in a while, and next time I went to try it it didn't work. Might be because I'm using the newer software version as it says to on ross-tech's website, so I'll try that.

They seemed to take it a bit personally, which wasn't my aim, but they said if it was broken they'd fix it free of charge unless it's tampered with.
