Default VAG-Scope & Haldex pressure.

I may have rediscovered a well known item, but..

On my A3, the AWD controller (22) meauring block 2 has the first two fields labeled temperature, and absolure pressure (bar)

The pressure apparently shows the clamping pressure on the clutch pack. I can see the graph rise on hard acceleration, drop immediately to zero upon brake application.

This could be useful to determine in what situations the Haldex coupling engages and by how much. (The pressure peaks at 40 bar (580 psi.

It would be nice if I could also graph throttle position along with this, but it appears that I can only read one controller's measuring blocks at a time.

Default Correct, you can only log one controller at a time. This isn't a limitation...

...of VAG-COM, more a limitation of the protocol and how VW/Audi developed this complete thing.

You also may want to use the latest VAG-COM beta 606, it comes with a description of the haldex meas. blocks.

MVB 002 = Oil Pressure and Temperature Sensor (G437)
MVB 002.1 = Oil Temperature,,Range: -40.0...+110.0 °C
MVB 002.2 = Oil Pressure,,Range: 0.0...40.0 bar

Question is also what exactly you are trying to see, for more informatons on the current Haldex, I suggest reading the self study program 333 from VW.

http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/download/beta/current.html</a

Default There's a self study for the Haldex Gen-II?

One reason for monitoring the pressure is to learn more about how the thing works, and in what situations it engages (or not.

I don't have that self study, and can't find it for sale on the Bentley site.
Can you please supply the full title and number, and, if avaiable, an online PDF source (english)

Interestingly, my 512.4 already had the temperature and pressure fields labelled. (Using Hex-USB cable. Haven't looked to see if I have a label file for this part yet. )

Default As said the number is 333, ther german titile is...

..."4motion mit Haldex-Kupplung MJ2004", which means "4motion with Haldex-Coupling MY 2004". Last time I saw the german one it was a preview in the VW ServiceNet, which is only available to the dealers. But I checked and there is an english one available too.

FWIW, VAG-COM automatically labels fields based on the data types, so it's normal that it gave you "pressure" and "temperature" even without actually having no label.
