1995 Audi 90 Quattro Western Mass. $1250

What it is:

1995 Audi 90 Quattro (all-wheel drive)

2.8L 12V V6

Black paint on dark blue cloth interior

5-speed manual transmission

Recent service:

Just redid brakes. Four new calipers.

New rear half-shafts.

Features:

Includes snow tires on Audi wheels. The pictures show the snows on the car, and the summers in a stack.

Passes inspection. Will throw a CEL on long trips, but since it doesn't have an OBDII connector, it's exempt. Haven't read the code, but I'm guessing it's a clogged EGR.

Virtually unstoppable in snow. Awesome cheap transportation. 127k mikes. Rack extra. Snows still on it. Summers ready to install.

Lockable rear diff.

History:

I've used this car winters for 5 years with no problems.

When I bought it at 108k miles I replaced the timing belt, and the fuel rail was replaced under a TSB.

I bought this car from Cranky Ape in 2006.
Prior owners kept it in a garage. It was really clean when I bought it.

I drove it in Minnesota for a few winters, then was relocated to Mass. I have driven it here for the last 3 winters. Mass. road salt is the worst!

Problems:

Driver's side seat heater doesn't work, but I understand that just takes some soldering of the heating element.

A/C does not work.

Sunroof is manually operated.

I think a strut bushing is going.

The valve seals leak, so if you let it idle for a long time, it will blow some oil smoke.

Slight exhaust leak that's been there since I bought it. I think it's mostly a stainless exhaust, which explains why it doesn't get worse over time.

Why I'm selling:

I'm being relocated to Houston, and there is no reason to bring an AWD car with a little rust and now A/C to Houston.

If you have a need for a car to drive one or two winters, so your nice car doesn't get rusty, this is your car. Would make a great starter car. This is my second Audi 90. I totaled the first in an accident. It's a very solid car. The other car (a Chevy cavalier) did not look so good. Yakima rack is extra.
Sorry for lame HTML skills.
