FS: Audi S4 Cabriolet - 6 speed manual (Boston area)
Selling our 2009 Audi S4 Cabriolet (convertible) with a 4.2-liter V8 (generating 340 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque) mated to a 6 speed Getrag MT with Quattro all wheel drive (AWD). Silver with black leather interior. Only 81,300 miles. We are the 2nd owners - we bought it as an Audi CPO (certified pre-owned) vehicle in Sep 2012 from Audi of Shrewsbury (then known as Wagner Motors) when the car had 38,479 miles. My wife is looking to get into a newer S5, so that's why we are considering selling the car.
The car has been extremely well maintained, with all scheduled maintenance performed at either Audi of Brookline or Audi of Shrewsbury. New front brakes (about 1,500 miles ago), recent rear brakes (about 15,000 miles ago), recent tires (Michelin 235/40 ZR18 Super Sport tires), recent A/C re-charge. We also had the 75K service performed this past spring. We have all service records.
The 2009 S4 Cabrio is the last model built on the Audi B7 platform - it is very rare and extremely hard to find this car in the used market. Our car has just about every option that was available at the time, including the cold weather package (heated front seats, mirrors and washer nozzles), Navigation, Bose speakers, Sirius Satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, dual climate control, cruise, Bi-Xenon high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps, Audi "Homelink", a wind deflector for road noise, etc., etc. I can provide interested buyers with a copy of the original window sticker that details all the options. And did I mention it has an awesome 6 speed manual transmission? SO much better than the Tiptronic A/T that most Cabriolets come with.
The inside and exterior are both in very good condition, with the expected amount of wear and tear for a 7 1/2 year old car. Just a few light scratches and a few door dings. The leather is in very good condition with just a few "wear" spots. Carpets and floor mats are clean. There is some curb rash on the wheels but they could easily be re-conditioned. There is a full size spare tire mounted to an extra alloy wheel in the trunk. The only mechanical issue is that the engine consumes about a 1 to 1-1/2 quarts of oil every 1,000 - 1,500 miles (very common to these Audi 4.2L V8 engines found in the S4, S6 & A8). As you guys probably know, this is a well known and well documented issue - the most common culprit is oil leaking from the valve cover seals (in addition to the fact that these engines just like to consume synthetic oil). There is lots of information/documentation about this issue on-line. It does NOT affect engine performance or oil pressure - the car runs great and pulls really strong. Just make sure carry an extra quart of oil in the car. Or, you can have the valve cover seals/gaskets replaced at some point.
