245/40/19 on a C5 (2004) A6 Avant 3.0?
Hey guys! I recently picked up some 5-spoke RS6 (19x8, et30) replicas, and I'm on the hunt for tires (the ones that came on them - 245/35/19 - were shot).
I've noticed that the recommended tire size for that wheel would be 235/40, but I have a line on a set of 245/40 - would I have any issues on an otherwise stock suspension? The car currently has the stock 16" 5-spoke flower wheels.
With all the potholes here in Chicago, I'd like to have a bit more sidewall, and I'd like to avoid the rubber-band look that I think I'll get with 235/35. But of course, I definitely want to avoid any rubbing/clearance issues.
