Good all-season or snows for '13 S8 ...?
Hi all--new owner of a 2013 S8 cpo with 21" new summer Contis. Have another truck 4x4 ride for the worst conditions so looking for more all- season use. Being in Michigan with some of the worst roads in the nation i was thinking of getting a set of all economy minded all-season wheel/tires, in 19" or 20" for winter/spring pothole use. Best deals out there? I like the idea of 19", not sure on sizing...What fits the S8 D4, any of the D3 wheels? Thanks in advance!

Based on our measurements of the S8, we can get you down to a 19" wheel (255/45R19) for either snows or all season tires if needed. Michelin offers the new Pilot Sport AS3+ in that size that would offer some decent (light) snow traction, and Pirelli would offer the "less sporty" Cinturato P7 AS Plus for a little added comfort. The primary advantage of a dedicated Snow tire would be enhanced traction in ice (snow traction would be a little better for a longer time frame vs. an allseason tire as well).
Your 2013 model does not use remote Tire Pressure sensors, so the switch over from Summers to "Winters" would be pretty easy.
Call in with any questions !

19 factory (19 x9) would fit, and can be found. The 20" twin ten spoke OE wheels (A7/S7 and A8 all the same for wheel sets; 20x9) are constantly all over EBay and some other sites if you want that OE look, plus it is a forged wheel. Stronger than an S8 cast, and lighter at same time.
Which diameter will drive tire choice to an extent. You can also play with 265 vs 275 in AS type choices. More limited in true winter tires, which for MI is what you might well want to do, and then maybe drop tire width some.
