1. HVAC Fan

If your C7 has Four Zone Climate Control, there’s a way to continue to circulate either cool or warm air for about ten minutes after you turn off the engine. This is a convenient feature, especially when you only leave your car for a few minutes and would prefer the interior to remain either cool or warm. After you turn off the engine, simply press and hold the fan button until the temperature display turns back on. The residual air in the system will continue to circulate for about ten minutes.

One thing to be aware of is that the system may think the fan button is sticking, thus generating a false intermittent fault in the HVAC module if you run a VCDS scan.

2. Glove Box Fan

There is an A/C vent in the glove box that you can leave open in order to keep a beverage cool on hot summer days. This feature is not available in all trims.

3. Auto Mode Toggle

If you’d like to toggle back to the last Auto mode (D or S), simply pull down on the console shifter from the paddle manual mode.

4. Tilting Side Mirror

When going in reverse, the passenger side mirror will tilt. If you adjust the mirror while in reverse, this will set the new default tilt position.

5. Defeat the 'Door Open' Chime

Getting tired of hearing the chime that sounds when you open your door? The following method works temporarily as a single use option. Sitting in the driver’s seat, open the door and then click an arrow button of the DIS control on the left side of the steering wheel.

6. Street View in Google Earth

If you’ve got MMI 0609 or higher, your MMI screen will show a street view of the destination near your arrival location.

7. RADIO Band Select

The RADIO button on the center console can be repeatedly pressed to cycle between the FM, AM, and Sirius options. This is an alternative to using the MMI controller to navigate between these settings.
