Audi isn’t the only manufacturer to ever produce a 5 cylinder engine, but of all of the brands who have, none are more ubiquitous to the company than the venerable 5 cylinder is to Audi. From the late 1970s, through the mid 1990s, Audi produced many models with a variety of 5 cylinder configurations, for street cars, and especially their racing cars. We’ve owned a few, and miss them.
