Correct ECU code?

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new ECU for my 2001 A3 (8L). The code on mine is "06A 906 032 S". However I can't find another ECU for sale with the exact code, instead I can find a few with the initial "06A 906 032", but with different ending letters.
Are they totally different things or can I get one of those and recode somehow (I'm assuming if they are the same they have some different codes setups, right?).
