Problems
Hi all new to the site.
I did have a quick look to see if I could see if anyone else has the same problem as me but didn't seem to find one.
My problem is a strange one to me.lol
While I start my 1996 a4 1.8t there's no problem. I start to drive it go thoroughly the gears. When I get to about 2500rpm it start to cough and spullter at me:-( it does it till about 3000rpm then clears. I've had it hooked up to a computer and there no problems that the computer is saying. It only does it when you put your foot down.
Hope some of the guru's can help plz.

You have checked some obvious things right? Like condition of spark plugs, condition of crankcase breather parts, torn and rotten vacuum lines, large boost leaks from intercooler hoses. Anything? If that all checks out, you may need to check fuel pressure. Also consider a faulty MAF sensor.

Morning I look at all spark plugs the look all good. Coil packs seem to be fine. There was a split on a hose but repaired that. I've changed fuel filtter. I did notice the the turbo was glowing red and smoking badly.
Does any know if an Audi a3 turbo will will an a4 turbo. Just wondering if they been changed?
