Default Never between coolant changes
... unless I lost some due to a leaky hose hose clamp or a broken reservoir, which does happen on occasion. If you use the pink G12, leaks are easily spotted, because G12 becomes bright white when it dries.

Coolant loss due to evaporation is minimal. If you have to routinely top off the coolant, it's going somewhere where it shouldn't go.

none/never unless I drain for a project or to change coolant. Its a "sealed system"

Default the G11 also turns a nice moldy green/blue color when it drys...
I only know that cuz that's what it looked like when my coolant reservoir had a crack on the return nipple.

hopefully for me it'll leave a nice trace on the front of the engine as well, cuz that'll help me find my leak a helluva lot faster

Don't over-tighten the clamp. :-P

Default well... whomever put the clamp on teh car when it was built musta gotten a wee bit too excited...
when he clamped down on mine I made sure to be gentle and just put a lil bit-o-pressure on it.

Default I better check the nipple clamps...
Last week I noticed that the power steering was again leaking near the reservoir. I snugged up the clamp, but I think I'll have to replace the hose eventually. Too bad that one end has a hydraulic fitting on it.

Default I don't think I've ever added any coolant to any car I've owned
except when I've replaced something and lost coolant in the process.

Default talking about power steering fluid
I heard a loud groan from the power steering pump this afternoon, and checked the fluid. Level was fine, but the fluid was foamy. What does that mean?
