Default Depends....

You will get better low end leaving the stock intake open but you won't get as good of a ramair effect at speed because you will reach a point where the incoming air will overtake the air coming through the stock intake and start pushing out. If you want a better ram-air effect at speed close it off. I leave mine closed off.

Default anyone thought of this

Given what you say...which makes complette sense, I may try to custom make a "flap" with a spring that would have just enough force at neutral (between where the benifit of both meets ramair) so that a back preasure would in fact close the OEM intake to get the best of both worlds...anyone tried this yet???

Default Actually, UrS4 had mentioned something similar a while back but don't know if he has researched it

yet. Definately feasible.
