I've talked w/ Hans before...
but on buying CGT parts from me... and he fell off the face of the earth after I gave him a price on the parts 
Will email him anyway to see what he wants for the car.... or just the motor/harness/etc. Thing is, I'd almost want to pull the harness myself so I know a) where it goes and b) it was taken out correctly and labeled correctly.
And yeah, the 4000 has gotten a LOT of work. Almost ready to hit the ground again... and I might even have a set of race seats lined up for it!! Should be interesting.

if at all possible, I wouldn't mind picking up a wrecked one and parting it. Depends on price.
There was one local to my folks in PA that was going for $2k on audifans, but the guy never got back to me. I woulda bought that in a heartbeat.
Just wish I could find that "barn find" w/ one someone crunched and never bothered fixing so it just say. Maybe one day I'll get lucky

Really not much since then...
my dad has been driving it. We put on B5 A4 front brakes b/c the driver's caliper seized and ate a new set of pads. Also swapped on some V8 rears b/c the parking brakes were frozen and we needed them to work to pass PA inspection.
Otherwise my dad put new seat covers on and has been driving it. Won't start tearing it down until end of this year or next year me thinks. My brother is getting married at the beginning of may, so he really won't be able to work on it much for a while after that.
Only thing we've done in relation to the urQ recently (Dec time frame) was part out a Coupe GT for the wiring harness and various other parts for the repair of the UrQ

Nice, that's a lot of work!
Building a shorty SQ is my dream project...I doubt that will ever happen though!

it's not bad, but not as interesting as it looks in the pic :)
there are more fun roads around the area... like 191 going over the pocono mountains into stroudsburg. That's one of our testing roads when we want to see how the car is handling
BTW, sent him an email. He's looking for $2k for the car. That's a little high in my book for a car w/ a toasted motor, but we'll see how it pans out. He's got a few people interested. I need to find a barn find me thinks if I want to spend less than that.
Wish the guy w/ the crunched S4 would have gotten back to me way back when. car was a runner minus getting t-boned and the driver's side doors not being able to open. Fine for someone wanting to pull the motor

That's not too bad, all things considered...
If you have the time to part the rest of the car you can probably end up breaking even or even making a few bucks...
