Engine running odd

It sounds like a mac truck. I opened the intake manifold up and cleaned it out. Replaced all the gaskets. About a week later the engine starts making this noise(see link)

make sure none of your spark plugs are loose.

How tight should they be? i changed them but i didnt tighten them down hard just snug

Sounds like lifters to me... mine sound exactly the same and it decrease as the

oil pressure builds up and send oil back in the top of the heads, in others words the lifters are "oiless" hence the noise. One cause of this problem is 2 bad oil check valve located under the valey pan that keeps oil from going down in the pan when the engine colds...

my other guess is the PS pump.

Mine sounded the exact same way.

What I did was buy the 2 valley pan check valves and the 2 releif valves. The ones that go into the head. I then installed the drivers side one under the valve cover. As soon as I had the valve cover on, I started it right up. I wanted to see the imprvemaent of just one. Well I couldn't hear ****. My car went from sounding like a Sherman Tank to total harmony and bliss. If you do these they are easy. Just pull the valvw cover off, lift off the cam covewr and you'll see the little valve screwed in. The only thing you have to be careful with, is once unbolted you may need tweezers to pull out the pieces. The seem to break when they fail. If you have anymore questions about this let me know and I'll give you step by step instructions.
