My grandmother had a sewing machine. It was pedal powered and made in the early 20th century in Czechoslovakia. That machine had nearly the same sound. Terrible

Sometimes it takes a long time, oil has to be heated up to became thinner before it can penetrate into the valve lifters.

It was a little alarming. I knew to expect some noise but didn't expect it to be so annoying.

once I gave it a little gas (2000 rpm or so) it went away in about 5 minutes.

now it purrs like a kitten.
