Default Code P0300b

So yesterday I changed my 6 PLugs and also all 6 Coil's. This morning got the Check engine light after clearing it yesterday so went and got it checked again and then came up with that code.

Put 6 NGK R Stock style plugs.
Put 6 Coilpacks that are also OEM From FCP Groton.

What else could it be?

Please help a fellow A6 2.7T Please.

Thank You

i had this code about 6 months ago.. mine gave me misfires on cyl 3 and 5.. my car seemed to run fine, no hesitation, no noticeable misses.. i chased this code around for a good month trying to find the culprit.. finally while out trouble shooting a different problem it simply went away... the only thing i could think happened was that i'd been babying her a little too much. one evening of punishment and my misfire code disappeared (carbon???)... this being said i would not recommend just going out and rodding the **** out of it... have you tried ignition modules???

No I haven't tried the ignition modules. Those are the ones on top of the Airbox correct?

I'm new to Audi as this is my first A6 2.7t needed some work but I'm willing to try and do what I can to get it working right.

It idles like if it is a small V8 it jiggles to say the least.

I don't know what else I could check, I also put in some Fuel System Cleaner just to see if it would clear up the injectors a bit better.

I also had a O2 Sensor Pre Cat Drivers side and Primary Cat that I need to change. I'm curious will this make the car have a rough idle also?

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Default p0300b

it could be your vvt tensioners (one solenoid could be out or it could not be working right internally) could be an air flow meter or a vacuum leak after the air flow meter. but first you will have to find out which cylinder is not firing. p0300 is a random cylinder misfire code.

If your car is extremely low on gas you may get a missfire code. It may be something as simple as that if the car is running fine.

Default intermittent misfire

Had the same code and my code scanner said plugs, coil packs and fuel filter in that order

I did plugs first and that was the ticket....All were worn, loose and one was missing the electrode, So much for service by the previous owner.

I would do my fuel filter...They are $20 from RM European (just google them). There prices are astounding on other Audi parts too
