Default Help on part identification

Does anyone know what this part is called? It's the small cylinder vacuum canister that the "Y" inlet of the PCV Suction pump is attached to.

Also it's in the teal square on the main image of this thread

http://forums.quattroworld.com/a4/threads/7685.phtml

They call it the "PCV Valve".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

It's a 1998 A4 Quattro 2.8 V6 if that matters.

"the suction pump simply controls the PCV valve, it should not be sucking in the PCV gases unless the valve is busted."

http://forums.quattroworld.com/a4/threads/7685.phtml

This is why I ask. I just replaced the suction pump because it was completely clogged, and I was getting the oil burning smell in the cab.

I'm pretty sure all my PCV gases are coming through the PCV Suction pump. So I would like to change the "PCV Valve" but I don't know what the official Audi name is for that part. I thought I would try here first before I call Barrier Motors in Bellevue, WA.

Thankyou

Much Better Pic

What is that called in Audi speak. It appears to be the PCV Valve. It's what regulates the crankcase ventilation from what I gather.

Thanks
