Default 01 1.8T cranks slow
My car recently started cranking slowly, as if the battery was almost dead. Battery checked out ok but was almost 4 years old so I replaced it. This did not change anything. It barely turns over and then starts and runs fine. Cranks better when engine is cold. When hot after driving a while it will barely turn over. Hasn't stranded me yet but it is giving me fair warning. Anybody had this problem?

Sounds like the starter. They wear out and go slower and slower, heat from the engine seems to make them even slower or completely inop.
