1.8T Cam Program - - Please HELP!

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/21625/camspecs.1.jpg"></center><p>I have a 99.5 1.8TQM with a GIAC 1.1Bar Chip and Neuspeed Exhaust. I recently put in some performance cams and did not notice much gain in power as promised by the vendor. I would like to get my chip reprogrammed to fit the specs of the cams. I emailed garrett and they said that they do not do custom programs for cams. I also called the dealer that I bought it from and they said that they couldn't do it either. What should I do??

How much performance did you expect? Cams dont yield tons usually

You sacrifice in certain areas to gain in other areas typically. Usually cams help in the high RPM range

Yep...you can lose HP in the lower RPMs...

but will gain it back in the upper RPMs.

I just read a magazine article that showed cams adding 6 peak HP, but added about 20 HP about 3/4 up the RPM range. This particular car didn't lose anything on the low end, but it didn't gain anything either.
