My oil temp always reads 150 or a speck over.I have a 2000 A4 Quattro wagon. IS this normal?

I would think it should be higher, 180-220 range.

Default if your trips are 2-3 miles, yeah, that's normal.
Normal operating temp hovers between 200 and 225.

Normal if the drives are very short. If they're not so short, there's a problem. If the drives are short, make sure it gets out on the highway (or even better - backroad romp) occasionally to burn off the crap that will accumulate in the oil. Normal operating temp is 200ish.

My needle usually lays smack dab center of 150 and 250, when up to temp.

Default If that is the true temp, sludge is in your future.
The oil should get upto between 200 - 225 to let moisture on other volitiles burn off. 150 is a bit hotter than Death Valley, CA but not by much.<ul><li><a href="http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/businesstraveler/tenday/USCA0286?from=36hr_topnav_business">Death Valley 10 day weather </a></li></ul>

How is your coolant temp? I used to have that when I has a stuck open thermostat....
