2000 Models

I just called AOA about the Y2K models, as that is when I plan to purchase an A4. I actually called twice to make sure that the person who gave me the information was not just reading from "her wish" list. <p>Both of them said for sure the new A4'swouldl be out in September/October, and that the dash would be redesigned to accommodate the new "IN-DASH CD". I know they have said this before, but they were both positive that this was happening. They said that the amount of requests that Audi had received about this was atronomical. She said there would be many other minor changes, but that seemed to be the most important one to the consumers.<p>Good move Audi!

They both also said that there would be full-sized spares in both the 1.8 and 2.8 models.<p>Another good move Audi!

Would you pass along the AoA phone number? I, too, plan a Y2K purchase and am curious about any possible exterior color changes. Love red but the A4 red is a little too orange for my taste. Thanks.

Yes, I would consider it, but I haven't seen one despite multiple trips and drive-bys of my local dealership. Is it more red or more burgundy?

sort of like burgundy/ox blood (more)

I originally wanted silver 1st then black 2nd and pearl 3rd. I got Hibicus Red because that is the one they were dealing on, but it turned out to be a great choice. It looks so beautiful when clean, and I'v only seen one other 1.8tq the same color, and that here in LA. Silver and Black are everywhere though.

The AOA Customer Relations phone # is 800-822-2834. I called them again today, and all the information they have is that the CD player will be available in 2000. They weren't sure if it would be standard or come in a package. The way it was worded, it sounded as if it were to be an option.
