2002 A4
Curious to know if anyone out there has any interesting info on the 2002 A4. I placed an order, sight unseen, for a car and was told that it should arrive the beginning of November. The European brochure made it look really nice, but I still don't even know the actual price. Just a guess that it will only go up a couple of thousand max. Does this sound like what others have heard?

The most interesting thing I heard was BMW's head of chassis dynamics was hired for the new 2002 A4 and every review that I read said the car is a lot more involving than the previous one. Price is supposed to be pretty similar. I priced out an A4 on the european site and although the markets are different and warrant different pricing, they should be pretty similar. I think Audi will raise the MSRP about 750-1000 over the currest A4.

Have you had any discussions about what you can buy it for? I've been assured that the dealer won't go over sticker, but does anyone have a feel if they are going to be negotiating much? I know that they deal on the current body style, but everyone I talk to says that the redesigned 2002 will be the killer in the category.

I heard of people getting a good deal on 02's if they order it now
The dealer may cut you a deal if you are willing to commit now and sign.
I thought I saw one guy on the boards that got the dealer to give him 500 over invoice on an 02. He said he already left the deposit down and "when" the dealer gets the final price info then he will pick the car and options and order it. Whatever the invoice price comes out to be, 500 over that.
You can try this approach with your dealer but if Audi's are very popular where you are the dealer may not go for it.
