30v thermostat
Is it possible to replace the thermostat w/o removing the timing belt? I've seen the diagram from bentley, but I'm having trouble picturing where the thermostat is in my head, any pics would help.
Lat night My car started to overheat. Oil temp got up to 225, coolant was at the upper extreme of the gauge. Running the heater helped. Coolant reservoir was full and not very hot- I think it's the thermostat.

It is possible, but I can't see it being very easy. Have you replaced your tbelt yet?
Here is the 12v, the 30v is very similar to this.

yeah, did the timing belt
I even ordered the thermostat, but I got so wrapped up in following the procedure I forgot to switch out the thermostat. here I am 2000 miles later and it goes out. My bad.

DONE :)
It's easier and faster the second time. BTW when doing just the thermostat you don't need to remove the fan clutch, and you only have to take the Tbelt off half the engine, so I was able to shave 15 minutes off my time (Down to 3 hours bumper off to bumper on)
Now why the hell did they put the tstat there? In my old mustang it was two bolts top left of the intake manifold, total of 5 minutes work.
