3COM enabled A4

Does anyone have a cool, un-obtrusive and temporary way of "installing" or attaching their Palm Pilot's so they can check e-mails and/or use it for driving directions?(please don't flame - I'm sure this is a little un-popular with the purists.) =)

Maybe a cell phone or portable CD mounting kit?

I know LLtek sells a cell phone mounting kit that attaches to the radio bracket, and there are others out there also. Or, you could probably get one of those portable CD holders and jury-rig some way of attaching your Palm Pilot to it.I keep a Garmin GPS III in my glove box and just place it on the dash when I need it for directions.

If you promise not to check anything while driving, I'll tell you...

Go to pilotgear.com and search for unimount (made by Revolve Designs)...it's exactly what you want. -vik 99.5 1.8tqms 98 PPPro, upgraded to 2 megs desperately lusting after a Palm V...

No problem, just watch Scotty!

In Star Trek IV (the whale one), after Scotty tries to talk into the mouse to the computer, he starts typing on the keyboard like he's been doing it all his life! It's a testament not only to his typing skills, but also to the software designers that wrote the program that he was able to use with no help and having never seen the interface before. WOW!I'm sure when Scotty was at Starfleet Academy, he thought that he'd never use what he learned in Ancient Human/Computer Interfaces 101.;-)
