get a patch/plug...
it's just what it sounds like. the plug is molded onto the patch. it does the the best job of sealing the tire and stabilzing the tread. i wouldn't use it on the track! put the spare/new tire on the right front, assuming counterclockwise track. you shoudn't have any problems with different diameters.

I'm saying the patch is better than the plug...
running the tire on a road coarse is your decision...if it ends up not being good enough, that's on you. If you're not comfortable, use a new tire on the road coarse. Whether the difference in diameter is okay or not is questionable. I've always read that there is some room for error in rolling diameters of tires when used with quattro. How much is a big question mark. If it was me, I wouldn't be too concerned about this issue.

if you asked me, I'd say "get another set of tires for the track"
if I were you and were stuck with the street tires, and just put that patched tire on the back and go at it. the glen isnt *that* crazy on tires, more on brakes, guts, and about keeping the right line.
