If all or even most the lights go off, you are lean, no question about it. But when you are under boost, you should be at around 12:1. A narrow-band sensor will look exactly the same at 14:1 as it does at 12:1. If you're at 14:1 under boost, especially if you're running more than stock boost levels, you are running into dangerous territory. Sure the KS *should* save your engine, but it's only a reactive device, reacting AFTER the onset of detonation.
