A4 Ash Tray stuck closed Any Ideas?
I have in my fleet of audi's a 1999 Audi A4 2.8Q. The ash tray is stuck shut and I cant get it open any ideas Banging on it for 10 minutes didnt work neither did prying it open with a screw driver.

This is guaranteed to work...
1. Drill a 3/8" hole in the front of the ashtray.
2. Insert a molly bolt into the hole, attached to a length of chain or nylon rope.
3. Run the chain or rope through the sunroof and tie it around a tree behind the car.
4. Accelerate briskly.
Ok, here's another idea: pop off the plastic cover on the front of the ashtray. There's an indentation under the lip that you can get your finger or a bent coathanger in, and you should be able to pull it out.
