A4 Dash Question

I have a weird question about the A4 dash, in most pistures I see the display between the Tach and Speedo shows the Temp and Gear (If Auto) in Red Digital, and then warning lights above that, in the picture above the display looks to be fully digital sorry the pic is so small, but in a bigger version you can see that the whole display has red digital information in it, by the way this is a '97 1.8T. Was this display an option or a Aftermarket job? Thanks for any help. Also thanks to all who helped me with my decision on whether to get a 1.8T or 2.8 V6. I have decided on a 1.8T.

The full digital display is a standard feature on most Audis in the US.

I don't know which model year they introduced it though, maybe 1998.

it was optional on 98s or 98.5... became standard in 99 or 00

I remmeber digi saying that it was an option on his whip.. what year does he have? cause he didnt opt for it, and has idiot lights

all the 00's and 01's have it....

This is a 97...

The picture with the full digital is a 97 and the picture above is a 98...
