A4 Headlights E-Code conventional vs Projector
I have a 97 A4. Does anyone know the performance characteristics of the conventional European Code (E-code) replacement lights versus the E-code projector lights? I know that HID are the best but I do not want to pay $1300. I can get the conventional E-codes (without markers, drop-in replacement) for about $420 and the projector E-codes (with marker as part of the assembly-some minor fender modifications required) for about $350. Has anyone driven both? I am leaning toward the projectors because they have the clear reflector integral turn signal but would really like to purchase the headlights with the best lighting. I have purchased E-codes for all my previous vehicles and cannot live with the DOT lights much longer.
