Default A4 L4 1.8T Suspension Control Arms

Hello there,

I want to replace all of my car's Control Arms, i saw that the current ones are a getting older.

I saw over the web a front end rebuild kit for sale.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...534&cc=1368086

It costs about $192 USD so don't know if it makes sense, you know, in terms of quality and reliability. I've never done this before.

Any thoughts? never heard of this ÜRO parts brand, so I'm wondering if someone has experience this particular brand before.

Thanks!!!

While I'm not entirely sure, I wouldn't doubt that these are the same brand that FCP Groton sells (which come recommended from those who have installed them- myself included.)

These kits are really the only way to go- replacing parts piece by piece is twice as expensive and twice the work. I'd say spend the few extra dollars and get the FCP kit.

I installed the FCP Groton kit on mine 2 years and over 30,000 miles ago. The front end is still nice and tight.

I'm thinking of doing mine. Did you have any particular problems or is it a straightforward job?

Thanks.

It wasn't terribly difficult. The biggest issue was the pinch bolts. I ordered a how to video from a mechanic that helped quite a bit. Here's a link to it. It was money well spent for me.

Thanks Sprof, that looks like a DVD I need to order. It's nice to have a guided tour of the work.
