A4 models difference
I plan to add a newer Audi to my aging fleet of Audis. Could somebody please tell me what was a difference between 97, 98 and 99 models of A4 1.8T. What year model got 170hp engine? Is it worth to pay extra $$$ for 99 model as opposed to 97?

the extra 20 horses came in 01
there is a webpage that has all the differences in the different models. im sure somebody will post it. i would but i dont have it. and i would aim for a 99.5 if you plan to mod it. it has all the interior and exterior upgrades of the later models and is non-dbw

Correction...some 01 cars came with 170 bhp...some only had 150
The little red section of the rear 1.8T emblem usually helps determine this. But, sometimes the emblem has been known to be wrong.
