A4 nagging problems

A4 nagging problems
Have any of you had multiple small problems with your car? I am the owner of a 2000 A4 Avant, and a 2000 A4 Sedan(my wife drives one). I have had the radio problem in both, as well as what seems like many other small glitches. Nothing to leave me stranded mind you, and it has all been handled under warranty. It just gets to be inconvenient. Just wondering if I have the only two problematic A4s.

I do not think that your car is affected, but the 2000 and 2001 models with the Symphony radios are. The radio will just change bass, treble, balance, fader, ect. levels at random. You may have it set perfect one minute, and the bass is all the way up the next. It sucks, and Audi has been backordered on the radios for months now. So their response is that you just have to live with it until a new radio comes in. Also, my wife's radio finally got replaced with a new unit, and two weeks later the radio went out completely! I really do love our cars, but I have had my cars in so many times for crap like this that I am getting frustrated.

yup, common problem
and unfortunately ya just have to deal with it. I guess EVERY radio had a defect and they are replacing everyones which is why there is the back order and given they need all these new radios for 2002s, the 2001s are probably not priority in the manuf. line.
The new 2002 radio looks nice.. it would be nice if one of those fit in a 2001. I'm gonna ask my tech about it tomorrow. He's gonna see if the 2002 mirror/compass can be put into a 2001 as well.
