A4 problems?

A4 problems?
Just put a deposit on a 2000, and should get it in May or June. 1.8T,Q,C,S,SC,Man. I have been reading of problems/recalls such as the tie rods, brakes etc??. If the car was just produced would they have already have made adjustments for these flaws. Were these problems limited to any particular span of production?

Everything should be fixed by now... I am surprised they aren't givin u a 2001!

Actually wanted the 2000 more...
I intend to chip the car over 190hp, and there is still some doubt if the 2001 is chippable. Even so you get more hp gains with the 2000, chipped. The car I'm getting has the soon to be standard side curtain airbags, too. Truely, my current lease ends in late June, and there was no guarantee the 2001 would be here in time. And no deals on the 2001, in comparison to the 2000 which I got for 5% over. Got all the options I wanted, quattro, spt & conv, plus the extra bags. i am happy I found what I did. I was real tempted by the 2001, but we found this car at the factory and it just felt right.
