A4 reliability

Hello everyone

i have been getting conflicting opinions from people about A4 reliability. i have a 99 1.8T which has abt 60K miles on it.

what have people ususally experienced ? am i on the verge on emptying my pockets on the car ?

any opinions greatly appreciated.

depends....

if you do any type of mods on the car, you might need it. If it stock, usually it's the control arm (well known for Audi).

It's pretty good, according to Consumer Reports

What's *your* definition of reliability?

My A4 has never stranded me...so it is 100% reliable. However, it is not 100% trouble-free.

I wouldn't trade it for anything right now!
Owned for 63 months and 90K miles.

as I recall the only half red on the '01s was "ignition system" - damn those freakn coil packs!
