A4 wait
I purchased my 2001 1.8T TIP in the first week of july. still no answer from dealer. dealer still does not have vin#. how long did most of you wait for the delivery. how long does it usually take to arrive in the US after it ships.

I ordered my 2001 A4 on July 13 from a MD dealer. I have been keeping regular tabs with the dealer (after hearing horror stories about car swapping at the dealer) and got my VIN# last week. Right now it is in "AtPort" status.

If you don't have a VIN yet you've still got a ways to go
First thing is don't listen to a word your dealer says as far as ETA is concerned. They'll tell you anything to get that deposit. I was told I'd have my car in time for school (Sept.) well I had it just in time for Christmas.
Though this is not always the case it sure sounds like you're getting the same deal. Sorry I know what a killer the wait can be
