I can't see anything.. I tried feeling, but there is so much junk there,

and with the wheel on it's difficult. I took the parking brake off, and tried to spin the wheel.. it only turns about a 1/4 turn before locking up

Did you hook up a VAGCOM to see if you're getting any unusual codes?

In other words, nail it down to a mechanical problem with the brakes, or an electrical problem with the ABS control module.

your caliper has seized maybe a stone between the pad and rotor or its just jammed

use a 17MM socket. my lug bolts are 17mm anyway
