ABS problem?
Hi all! After installing new rotors and pads up front on my Avant I got this strange problem with ABS... when braking, the car comes to a stop as usuall but just shy of a complete stop ABS kicks in... for no reason. Every time... it's kind of strange that ABS would kick in with normal dry and even pavement. No codes are present... none at all. Puzzled... anyone dealth with this before?

The Abs sensor gaps are wrong, or there are metal flakes stuck to the sensors..
the thing to do would be to pull the sensors out, and wipe them off, and re-gap them.. push them in all the way, and pull them back out just slightly.

Tricky... can't get them out.
I might have to replace them all since there is no way in the world that I can get them out without any damage. Problem started after changing front brakes... but sensors have not been even touched... what gives? Everything there was cleaned already... I might just try once again to see if I can get some results... but first I need to see which wheel causes problems... hard without any codes.

Well, you can loosen the axles and push them towards the center of the car...
which will expose the ABS rings, you can use some brake cleaner and compressed air to clean in that area... Make ABSOLUTELY sure that you do NOT roll the car on the ground with the axle loose, and make ABSOLUTELY sure that you properly torque the axle bolt according to spec.
