Default ABS problems
My ABS seems to kick in at low/slow breaking speeds and I figured it was one of the ABS speed sensors. Took it to a shop to day and did some real time tests and none of the sensors showed anything unusually and all wheels showed to be moving at the same speed. I'm asumming that this means a bad ABS speed sensor can be eliminated.

So I'm now wondering if it is the ABS pump or ABS module. Is there any way to test to see if that is the cause? Any other suggestions?

Default Removing the sensors and cleaning them would be the cheapest solution
but it doesn't sound like that will help. Worth a try anyways.

Default I tried pulling one out, but it didnt want to move, and hints?
Do they just pull straight out, any twisting or c-clips or anything? 96 a4 2.8qm

Default Be careful to not damage the sensor when pulling out.
I damaged one by turning it using a wrench (too firm to move it by hand).

ABS keeps coming on at extremely low speed stops. Any unforseen problems if I just pull the ABS fuse
