AC Compressor Replacement

I haven't found much definitive info on the compressor replacement and imagine that it is more involved than just replacing the compressor itself? Do I need to buy compressor oil? I read somewhere that I should also replace the receiver-drier. True? What about seals? I see that there is an AC cleaning solution available. Should I also do that?
I'd very much appreciate a few tips from anyone who has taken this on. Thank you!

.A new receiver/drier (accumulator) is required whenever you replace the compressor, along with the appropriate amount of replacement refrigerant oil. I've ordered those parts as well as a seal kit, so should be set for the work now.
I've ordered another accessory drive belt too, as I may have burned the existing new belt by turning on the AC to enable recirculation while on a dusty road. OMG, it sounded like a howling beast! Must be a toasted bearing in there. Note to self: Don't do that.
