adding a CD changer to a 97 Delta
the last time i checked, it was CDN$1000 through the dealer. i recall it was an Alpine unit, but at the time, a proper converter was not available. does anyone know any aftermarket changers that will work with a converter? and how much?? thanks for any help.<p>woo<br>97 1.8T Pearl

I don't have the number handy but I know a couple people have bought the CD changer for the '96/97 Delta unit from Impex and are very pleased. Much less expensive (about 350 vs. 500+) and it DOES have an Audi part number & comes with a warranty so it is not some cheapo product. It is a Sony that has an Audi part nember. Somewhere, they use Sony in the A4 vs. Alpine, apparently. Nozomi, who also posts on this site, has one. She has been happy from what I've heard. <br>I plan to get one soon but I've just had too many other priorities for my money lately.<br>It was less expensive than Clair for their Alpine OEM unit and I don't think the BLAUfergnügen one is OEM. I asked them via phone and they told me it was not. I wouldn't mind that too much but it was still more expensive than Impex's OEM changer when I was comparing.<br>-Cathleen
